spare time

Since Brian finished his last project, a month ago, he's been busy crocheting squares. He was tired of the left over skeins of yarn that wouldn't fit inside the drawers.

He decided to make a scrappy afghan. Most of the squares have a design. No two squares are alike, over 80 squares! He's now crocheting them together. I can't wait until he's finished!!

Go Brian!! Go Brian!!

miss them already

McKinzie and her family left last night after dinner. I was shocked at how quiet the house was the rest of the evening.

This morning when I went into the kitchen to start breakfast I noticed a little handprint on the fridge. I'm sure that's Retta's little hand! She was in and out of the fridge every day, all day. Seeing those smudges sure caused me miss them even more.

Merry Christmas!!

The kids slept in pretty well this morning.  McKinzie and Geoff woke up around 6 AM wondering when the rest of us would get up.

We sure had a lot of gifts under the tree.

This is Mason's favorite gift! He's getting the hang of flying it too!

Carson just read that he is signed up for theatre classes!  He's soooo excited!!

These two pictures are probably the best all morning! McKinzie gave him a silicone ring. EXACTLY what he wanted!!

Mason and Carson took turns taking a couple pictures of me opening presents.  They are sweet boys!

Santa brought something for Stella too! This cute little sweater and a new bed.

Tank chewed on a bone for most of the morning, then he had to check out the wrapping paper.

In the afternoon, everybody but us two and Poppi and Retta stayed home.  (The two little's wouldn't have enjoyed the movie.) Shortly after they left for the movie Adam put on his apron to make cookies. It made my day!

Tank is on Stella's new bed. I'm not sure she likes it.

This is such a sweet picture of these too.  McKinzie captured it.

It has been a wonderful day!! The kids have gone from one activity to the next. Watching movies, playing legos, and everyone is loving the boxing robots.

Bed time was around 9 for the four youngest.  Tomorrow will be our last full last day with everyone for some time. Not sure what we're doing but I'm sure it'll be fun!

family pics

Here is our Christmas card we sent out.  It was a picture from the corn maze in mid October.  They look great!

Our annual family picture on the Sunday before Christmas. McKinzie didn't want to do it. She didn't have a choice. :0)

Poor Retta was not feeling well.  It took her another day or two before she started acting like herself.

Christmas Eve

I'm a little excited that I have ALL of Christmas wrapped before Christmas Eve. This is the first time EVER!!

This is mine and Brian's Christmas! I love it!!

Karlee learned how to fold the napkins into trees for dinner. Super cute! She also set the table perfectly!

Time to open our one gift!!

We've had a fun night! Now to get all the kids to bed.
