Halloween fun

Karlee and Bailee sent me these pictures this morning. They both look great! Karlee is a mouse and Bailee has a spider bun.

I can't decide if I like the leaves on the tree or on the grass more.

Ready and waiting for the parade to begin. CJ is with Marta in the picture above.

The boys went trick or treating with friends. Fischer, Mason and Brian above. CJ and Hayden below.

The boys on the ends are too goofy looking for these teenagers. They were going for scary and cool.

They look cool with candles too!
Karlee and Miranda headed out to a church trunk or treat.
Bailee had her neighbor draw the web. WE all had a fun day! Now it's time for bed.

pumpkins and cupcakes

Here's Mason in his new suit looking all sharp and grown up. He was so excited to wear this today. I can't believe my boys are growing up this fast.

Today was the primary program, Carson's last one. A little sad... I truly enjoy attending the programs in our Stake. I attended the Prestbury Ward today and loved it! They always do a wonderful job.

On our way out the door to church I stopped for a picture. Everywhere I look it's beautiful!

After church I snapped this picture. Brian loved that I was taking a picture of his truck. Yeah, that's what I was taking a picture of. ;)

Holly texted me these pictures of Bailee. They were celebrating her birthday at Grandmas. She looks so happy! I love her bouquet. So cool!

Then tonight we carved pumpkins for FHE. Brian rarely gets to carve with us. I really don't think he has minded missing out. It was different not having any girls here to help and share the fun. Carson knew exactly what he wanted and Dad did a great job making it work.

Mason carved his all by himself. He was pleased with that. Once he was finished he cut open the top and I cleaned out the guts. He hates that part. I really need to make sure I have candles for tomorrow night.

Busy busy Saturday

I got an early start today. We had Stake Primary Training and I needed to be at the Stake Center a little after 8 to set everything up. This was our first time doing auxiliary training on our own and it was a success! We invited the presidencies, teachers, and all those involved with Cub Scouts. We had about 40 people in attendance which more than RSVP'd. President Zinn did a wonderful job. The more I get to know him the more I like him. We then separated to three different classes. I taught the class for the presidencies, Kristie M taught the scouts, and Kelly D taught the teachers. The feedback I got about Kelly and Kristie was wonderful. I'm very pleased at how it turned out. I'm glad we're done until next fall. ;)

I got a few pictures of the boys on their hike. I think Mason has antennas.

They ended up hiking 11.7 miles. They both were super tired when they got home. Carson loved every bit of it!
I painted an area under the gutter that was repaired today, way high up on the second level, and I got a new view of our backyard. I kind of like it. Don't worry, Brian stayed close and kept the ladder steady.

McKinzie sent me a couple pictures for trunk or treat tonight. They are both super cute! We have a mini Geoff and Spider-Man/woman.

I've been busy these last few days working on this. I was really, really hoping to have this table topper finished before Halloween. I started it early in the month too. But no it won't be finished. All the blocks are finished and squared off, now I need to sew them together just to have the top finished. Oh well, it'll be for next year.

First camp out together

There are 3 or 4 camp outs where the 11 year olds get invited to go with the bog boys. Tonight is the first one and these two get to go together! Carson was a little nervous. Mason not so much, which is odd for him. They will be hiking between 9-11 miles tomorrow.

These two are best "church" friends. Hayden didn't know CJ was going camping. I'm sure they'll have fun together. Btw - did you notice those bright beauties behind them?

Brian and I did have a date tonight, as usual, but then when we got home I reviewed my training I'm giving tomorrow and Brian played with Murray while he watched the Cubs play. This puppy is taking a lot of time for everyone. He's sweet and cute and demanding all at the same time. Murray, not Brian. ;)

The Chicago Cubs are in the World Series playing Cleveland Indians. The series is tied 1-1. Tonight is the third game and it's at Wrigley Field. Are fingers are crossed for a win...for the Cubs!

Vibrant colors!

This first picture was taken at the end of my run this morning. It's through two neighbors backyards. I thought is was a nice view of the back of our house. The picture below is just before I started my run. The trees were so vibrant this morning. It rained most of yesterday. I don't know if that made a difference or not. I can't decide what my favorite color is, red, gold, orange, it's was all beautiful.

I ended up running 8 1/2 miles. My longest run in over a year. Mile 2-6 felt really good. My pace was my fastest ever too. My average pace was 9:19, for the entire run! To say I was pleased is an understatement. I'm paying for it now though. My legs are very stiff.

When I got home I took the dogs out and let then roam around. So I took a few pictures. This is part of our daily routine. The dogs love it and so do I.

Birthday boy!

Can you believe this boy turned 7?! I sure can't. After school I Facetimed him for a bit. He had just blown out his candles and was eating chocolate cake. McKinzie even gave him a piece out of the middle!! He was in a bit of a hurry because his Dad was on his way to pick him up. I did find out that he had a field trip today, ON his birthday!! His mom went on the field trip too. I think his birthday must have been about perfect.

This picture was taken on his 3rd birthday. The last birthday we spent together since we moved the following year. Who knew that that was our last birthday together? I miss our Friday's together...

I love you Adam with all my heart! Keep working hard in school and keep being the awesome big brother you are. I love you!! We love you!! Happy birthday!!

Handsome boys

It's red ribbon week for Adam and today it's "I'm too smart to do drugs." He's so dang cute! Kinzie things he's a nerd sometimes. I think he's perfect! I love the tape on his glasses.

Then there's this boy. Ever since I bought him his last part of tan pants he told me he wanted a suit. Well, his tan pats are too short. He looks pretty sharp in his new suit. I cut his hair tonight too (after this I took his picture). He's going to look pretty snazzy Sunday.

Exciting weekend

Thursday McKinzie sent this to me and said that maybe he'll be Tommy from Rugrats for Halloween. With his smile and so little hair he looks just like Tommy! I think she should do it.

Friday I made sugar cookies for the school's carnival on Saturday. I really enjoy making sugar cookies. I don't make them very often here since I can't take the them to class parties. They have so many restrictions for class parties.

CJ had fun at the carnival. He went through the haunted hall with friends and tried all the games while I helped out with the food. When it was time to go his friends kept giving us their last few tickets. We used them on the cake walk and I won! We brought home some hot chocolate cookies. They were yummy!

Karlee went to Rexburg for the weekend to see Bailee. I'm so glad they enjoy spending time together. I'm glad Bailee took her to the temple too. Karlee hasn't been since she started school. I want her to know the peace the temple can give her. They went to see Gramdma and Grandpa too!

Saturday was a big day! Karlee hanging out with Bailee, CJ's carnival and Mason went to his first Stake dance and he loved it!! He danced with a handful of girls, most he already knew. He can't wait for the next one now.
When I made the frosting Friday I used two egg yolks, so I had two eggs whites left over. I saved them and made divinity on Sunday. I've only made divinity once or twice. It turned out perfect. It were so good! Brian isn't a fan. Mason tried it and doesn't care for it. Carson likes it though. I'm glad he'll help me eat it. I did give some away to one of my visiting teaching sisters. But I've still had more than I should that's for sure.

Another picture of my favorite tree! It's been overcast all day and rainy this evening. It's feeling like fall around here. I'm trying to be ok with it but I don't think I'm ready for the cold.
