Seminary graduate too!

Tonight was seminary graduation for these 8 girls. Brian has been their teacher for the past 2 1/2 year.  Last summer many moved away, Cassidy, McKinnley, Mitch, Kyle, and Sydney. We wish they all still lived here.
From left to right Alyssa, Haley, Adison, Kaitlyn, Brian, Miranda, Britton, Amelia, and Karlee.

This has been Karlee's person this past year. I'm glad they'll both be at BYU together.

pop of color

I've wanted to paint our front door since last fall. I removed the brass plate a few weeks ago and I also did a little prep work. Today I finally painted. I love it! I'm also going to paint around the two windows as well. Hopefully I'll have time this week.

summer fun

Thursday Bailee was a little bored so she invited us all out for a water fight. Carson loved it!! It was very warm but the water felt ice cold. It felt good to lay out on the deck afterwards. (Yes, I got wet too.)

This boy graduated from Kindergarten on Thursday! I can't believe how big he's getting. Before we moved I dreamed of being at everything for him. Now we see each other only a few times a year. I feel cheated...

I'm so grateful McKinzie shares pictures.  This picture is adorable! I know Retta misses Adam every day when he's at school. (He's a great reader too.)

These pictures are of their first day of summer. It looks like they're starting out right.

memories

This blog is all about our memories.

Yesterday afternoon Karlee suggested we go to the drive-in together. At that moment it was pouring rain. As the day went on the forecast looked promising that the rain would be finished soon. So we went. It wasn't too crowded which was nice. We watched Kung Fu Panda 3, Bailee was the only one that hadn't seen it, and Xmen Apocalypse. We had fun! Both movies were great. Although, for the first 40 mins Brian went crazy because of mosquitos. We had forgotten to bring repellent, but we survived.

Then with only 25 mins left in the second show the rain hit and it hit hard! We were quick to put the camp chairs in the back, pick up all the blankets and pillows and we jumped inside the truck. Brian quickly and without headlights turned the truck around and pulled the speaker in. We didn't miss much but the windows kept foggy up. Memories...

We were all in bed by 1:30. I felt bad Brian was up by 6:30 for work. The rest of us slept till 9:30.

We've had a fairly busy day cleaning house and running errands. One errand was Goodwill where Mason found these crutches! He loves them! He brought them into Walmart with us. He said, "Mom, these aren't toys." Trying to convince me he could bring them in, "Even though I'm using them as a toy!" Silly kid!! I hope he doesn't break a bone!

summer begins

Today is the first day of summer and it was a beauty!! The boys and I went to the pool for a couple hours. It was so nice! The sun felt wonderful! It was super crowded but we didn't mind.

It was Karlee's first day saving lives.

Our graduate!!!

She did it!! Yay Karlee! I'm so very proud of you! Graduation went quicker than I expected. Within 70 minutes all the names were read and the choir was singing their last song. It was a bit of a challenge to find everyone afterwards though. Karlee kept looking for friends to take pictures with.

Here's our crew.

All the students names were displayed around the arena. It was a nice touch.

Once we arrived home Brian grilled and we had an enjoyable afternoon.

S'mores too!

Later this evening Mason was ordained a Teacher. I'm glad it worked out while family was here. Sometimes things do work out.

Then I got a sampling of our photo shoot. This sure turned out great!

They're here!!

They arrived at 9:00 and we were so very excited!! We had breakfast ready for them. Although, Poppi took a break from cooking to love on Dex.

After breakfast the kids played playdoh. I'm not sure we've had playdoh out much at this house.

Brian got  a call shortly after noon from a police officer to let him know they found a bus. That it had been taken off the lot. It was a short bus so he could drive it. So I quickly told him to take Retta!! She would love a ride! And he did.

All of these kids rode in the bus with her.

For a late lunch we went to CPK to celebrate Karlee. Only Karlee and I have been there multiple times so everyone wasn't too sure but we all loved it! We even passed Dex around a little.

Later this evening we did some family pictures at Leroy Oaks. I think they'll be good but we have to wait a week or so to find out.

Mason has been enthralled with Dex. It's been fun to watch. Before Kinzie feed him his bedtim bottle we took a quick self it and he smiled!! I'm so glad I was prepared with my camera.

Tomorrow is graduation!! Yay Karlee!
