snow day

It's been a great day today! Last night at about 9:00 it started to snow. We were expecting 4-6" by morning and blizzard conditions all day. It all came true. Church was cancelled. We were excited to be honest. Sometimes it's nice to have a forced quiet day at home. Brian received an email from the Stake Presidency giving Melchizedek Priesthood holders the permission to administer the sacrement. That's a first for us.

We decided to watch "Music and the Spoken Word", then Brian and Mason prepared and passed the sacrement to everyone. We then had a little testimony meeting. It turned out amazing! To have two worthy priesthood holders in our home was wonderful! Carson was first to share his testimony. Not a surprise at all. He's a great example to all of us. Before we were finished everyone had a turn. I wasn't sure if Mason would take a turn, but he did and it was heartfelt.

With it being Fast Sunday we had to stay strong. We all did well.

All day long everyone took turns watching out the window in unbelief of the continuos snowfall. As the day went on the wind picked up. We have some amazing drifts. By 1:00 we had 9".

Brian ran the snow plow this morning and most of the sidewalk is buried again.

It's now 9:30 and Brian is snow plowing again. The snow is supposed to continue till midnight and the wind should slow a little. Maybe down to 15mph.

Seminary and schools have been cancelled for tomorrow. Wahoo!! I'm hoping to play in the snow tomorrow with the boys. It should be a good day.
