honor roll
Today was the 8th grade A/B honor roll breakfast. Mason had all A's for the first and second quarter too! He's such a smart kid. I'm excited for him in high school. He's going to do great things.

seniors
In YW's today all the seniors received a quilt that a few women in our Ward made for them. They were so different and beautiful. Karlee's was the brightest, just what she wanted.

all about boys
There have been plenty days with comfortable temps. Enough so that our yard desperately needed a mow. Brian went out this morning when it was still below zero. What was he suppose to do? Near the end of next week we should be in the 60s. I can't wait!!
The Goose's Gavel opened today. We went to the second show. Can I just say... Wow! They all did great! Carson was a natural. He's so comfortable on stage. The harmonica was a nice touch.
Here he is with Isaac. This is their second show together.
Afterwards we made a trip to Rocket Fizz then we ate at The Beehive. We let Carson choose. Mason wasn't sure what he should get. I'm thinking he chose well. He loved the bbq wings! (Even though this is all about boys, Karlee did join us.)

He's here! He's here!
McKinzie and Geoff headed to the midwife at 7 this morning. Eager to have a baby. It did not go as quickly as they invisioned, it rarely does.
At 5:05 this beautiful boy entered this world. Welcome Dexter Cale McRae! He weighs 8 lbs 7 oz and is 19.5" long.
I think those could be his mothers lips right there.

They were home by 9:30. McKinzie texted: We made it home and the kids went crazy! Adam is excited. So is Harley but kinda emotional. Tank doesn't know what to do lol he's trying to be careful but he's so excited.
Last night I booked a flight to go visit in two weeks. I'll only be there for a couple days but I can't wait! I need to hold that baby!!
another last
Karlee had her last high school assembly today. Not something she will miss I'm sure, but she danced in this one! All the girls did great!
I also saw their mascot for the very first time. He's kinda cute!

Since we've been home from Texas the weather here has been CRAZY! We've had snow flurries almost daily. Nothing sticks but it's plain cold. This morning while I was making breakfast the most beautiful snowfall happened. It was heavy and straight down. It had the largest snowflakes too. It looked like it was from the movies it was that perfect. I was angry with myself that I was loving it. It shouldn't be snowing in April!

simple things
This is his favorite pastime, reading Harry Potter. This is his second time through the series, book 6. His favorite books are 6 and 7. Everything I know is from him sharing what new things he learns. I'm so glad he knows what makes him happy.
This is what I love, taking pictures through my sunroof. I love the temple too! I went to the temple yesterday. I decided to take a few pictures as I was leaving. Most turned out pretty good. (Yes I did edit to straighten it out.)

The pictures below are from last Friday when I was driving through St. Louis. I hope one day we'll stop and take a closer look. Honestly though, not bad taken out the sunroof right?
Tonight Carson is at rehearsal. His first performance is Saturday. He doesn't feel everyone is ready. I hope he feels better after tonight.
Both Mason and Karlee are at church. Mason prepared something about knife and axe safety. It was short and he was hopeful Fischer world be able to feel the time. The YW are having awards for basketball. Karlee wasn't super excited but she wanted to go rather than stay home. Sometimes that's good enough for me.
Bailee has a two week break between semesters. She's staying with grandma and working as much as they'll give her, plus giving plasma. She's glad to be back in Rexburg. Seeing her friends, and catching up with everyone.
McKinzie still hasn't had the baby. She has an appointment tomorrow morning. She's hopeful that she can be induced in the next couple days. So hopefully by the weekend. Fingers and toes crossed.

welcome home
We arrived home last night at 11. It was a fairly easy drive. Although, about 30 minutes north of St. Louis Mason got sick. I was so glad he had a grocery bag in his hands. I pulled over as quick as I could. That's twice since summer he has gotten sick while driving. I guess I need to monitor his food choices better while we drive.
This weekend is General Conference. We've been be able to watch all three sessions today! That doesn't happen too often.
When I woke up this morning I saw a dusting of snow. I was not excited. Around noon it looked like a blizzard outside. There were snow flurries all day. Luckily, by the end of the day, not much was on the ground. I want to go back to Texas...
During the first session Brian finished this baby blanket. He ran out of the the trim color awhile back and I was slow ordering it for him. I liked the pattern so much I ordered colors for a boys blanket.

Here are a few picture of the blanket I made for McKinzie. The pattern is called "kissing fish" I love how cute these fish are!
I hope she likes it. I had so much fun making this blanket. I started it late January. So it didn't take me forever either.

I also made her a flannel blanket and burb cloth for the baby. I wasn't sure if the name they've chosen was for sure so I chose their last name. I love the orange!
Here's the other blanket for their little one. Only two colors yet still super cute. Now we just need to get that baby here.
