Today Mason received an award for his "Duty to God". It reads, Mason is recognized for faithfully fulfilling his duties as a deacon, developing attributes of spiritual strength, living the standards of the Church, and preparing himself to be ordained to the office of teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood.
